I think this is a “dumb” argument no matter the ethnicity of the person speaking. In a free market economy we as consumers have the right to buy the best, most useful products we can at the most reasonable price. Guilt should NEVER be a factor.

As business people, in the same system we have a responsibility to you ion the market yo give you the BEST service/product we can possibly provide within the scope of our respective business models.

When we open businesses we have to think that we’re going to have to compete with other business on all sorts of levels. We CANNOT expect someone to spend money with us because we happen to belong to similar demographic groups as our customers. We have to be willing to COMPETE.

MAKE a better product. PROVIDE and superior service. Go home and count you money and take your ass back to work the next day.

THAT is the only obligation to the public a business owner has and it’s also the only real way you as a consumer can evaluate where you spend your money. You are not helping a business with a substandard product get better by spending your money there. In fact, because you give them money you are hurting the situation. They will learn NOTHING.

Support who and what you want but understand how the system is supposed to work. There is nothing about black business that says that a product or service has to be substandard.

That beings said, SHOP LOCAL and Shop OFTEN :)

I don’t mind paying a lil extra.

I don’t mind traveling a lil distance.

But I will not buy a crappy product.

Won’t be guilted or swindled into purchasing less than quality items or services.

I hate that mindset that I should pay extra for a subpar item just because you’re black.

THANK YOU!  I’m not against paying more, but if that shit obliterates when wet…no deals.

I agree, no, you shouldn’t buy crap products because someone is black, BUT.

Might you take into account that black people are naturally poorer and receive less help from professionals and therefore might have a product that, while not AS good as white people’s stuff, may have a drastic potential to improve if it was given a chance to receive the money and support that the white people’s products already have?

Maybe if we supported more black businesses, black business owners wouldn’t have to overcharge.
